Plot
In the future, the world is at peace, and two of Space
School's most promising young scientists are to be sent
into orbit to discover a solution to global hunger.
When one of the scientists can't go, his replacement
sees the mission as an opportunity to woo his unsuspecting
female spacemate. Things get a little awkward when 50
million ravenous aliens land on Earth, hoping to feed
on human flesh!

Critical
Reaction:
"Space Crackers is an epic tale of unrequited love,
research at a space station, and the eradication of
humankind by the Dooks of Doom. Supporting clever lyrics,
the music runs the gamut of styles, from a Queen-y intro
to straight indie rock to dissonant metal. The chorus
of "I Got My Space Pass!" channels Superchunk,
and "Probabilities" has a Pixies/Veruca Salt
thing going on. Love it." - 75orless.com
"This sprawling drama sports...
some of the catchiest songs ever to address the impending
eradication of humanity by hungry aliens." - Boston's
Weekly Dig
"An instant classic in the mold
of Queen's Flash Gordon score... in addition to being
really silly, it's also really great." - The
Boston Phoenix's OnTheDownload
"...Space Crackers needs to be
funny. It needs to grab the attention, tie it up in
an unfurnished room with a bag over its head and ransom
it back to its family. Then it needs to be backed up
by the kind of theatrical, pomp-rock which the project
clearly demands. Turns out, it pretty much manages all
of that. Huzzah!" - stylusmagazine.com
